Enoch

In the first age of the world, there was Abel, the first of the noble army of martyrs; spoken of by Jesus in Luke 11:51 from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the house of God; yes, I tell you, it shall be charged against this generation.' Then at the time of the flood there was Noah. In the period between Abel and the flood, there was one servant of God unlike all the others before and since, Enoch of whom our text speaks.
