Grace Chapel is a fellowship of Christians who believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe in God, the Creator of all things; the Deity of Jesus Christ; His virgin birth; His substitutionary death for the sins of mankind and His bodily resurrection. We believe in the forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus Christ and that all who place their faith and trust in Him become members of the Church which is His body. That Christ is coming again to rapture the living saints and raise the dead in Christ; The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ—He is Lord of all—Acts 10:36 later to establish His kingdom on earth. We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity and His indwelling of the believer. Our purpose is to present Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, provider of daily needs, and as the only hope of the world.

Grace Chapel is a non-denominational Bible Church.

Grace Chapel
Grace Chapel had it's beginnings in the early 1930's with Bible studies in homes led by itinerant evangelists, my Uncle John Hunt being one of them. In the late 1930's they acquired a building in the 2200 block of Montana Ave. and met there until 1956. A building site was found in what was then a new neighborhood, Ranchland Hills, which is the present location. During the transition, between selling the building on Montana Ave. and when the building was built in Ranchland Hills, the congregation met in the home of Jim & Evelyn Hunt, just a few blocks from the present location.
Doctrinally, Grace Chapel has it's roots in the Plymouth Brethren movement which began in the British Isles in the 1820s. Plymouth Brethren was not a name that was taken to be another denominational identity, but something by which they were called by others, since the early desire was to not take any name other than "Christians", since all other names tend to divide.
Some of the distinctives of the Plymouth Brethren include the following: The Centrality of the Lord's Supper, The Authority of Scripture, The Headship of Christ, The Priesthood of all Believers, Freedom to Exercise Spiritual Gifts (rejecting the concept that there are two classes of Christians, clergy and laity), Dependence on God for Financial Needs, Expectation of the Soon Return of Christ, and the Imperative of the Gospel.
