God's Grace is always free. It is a gift to be received, not a prize to be earned. "Salvation is not granted to men as a result of anything they are, or do, or resolve to be, but it is the undeserved gift of heaven."

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that
not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

The new birth, the beginning of spiritual life for every believer. When divine life is imparted, the Holy Spirit enters the believer's body. This miracle is achieved through the hearing and believing of God's Word, by the working of the Holy Spirit and by our response to God of believing the truth.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
John 3:6,7

This means "to reckon" or "to put to one's account" by a judicial act of God. God put our sins upon Christ at the cross and He put Christ's righteousness upon us as believers.

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:19

A middle-man is needed to bring together a Holy God and sinful men. This is the "daysman" for which Job longed and which Christ proved to be.

And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive
the promise of eternal inheritance.
Hebrews 9:15

You were bought with a price. Believers were once the slaves of sin and uncleanness, the curse of the Law's terrible judgment, fear of impending death, and Satan's power. Now we have been made free in Christ because He has paid the price with His own precious blood.

Redemption were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1 Peter 1:18-19

Through Christ's work, not that of man, God has become favorable to us and the claims of justice have been satisfied. The man who prayed the sinner's prayer cried, "God, be propitious to me."

...being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed.
Romans 3:24-25

Baptism is a picture of salvation. It is very important, and it follows the new birth, but does not cause it.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19

A divine act of a holy God whereby a sinner who believes in Christ is pronounced righteous before Him and acquited of all charges. Justification is by grace, by faith and by His blood, without works and apart from the law. Justification by works is a demonstration of the reality of faith already possessed, an outward display of faith by action, following salvation.

...knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.
Galatians 2:16

How to Deal With Worry

The audio of the Bible Truth Broadcast radio show for the air date of Sunday, April 22, 2012 has beed posted. This is broadcast number 1612, entitled "How to Deal With Worry" by Saul Cooper. What does your anxiety do? It does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, but it does empty today of its strength. It does not make you escape the evil; it makes you unfit to cope with it when it comes. God gives us the power to bear all the sorrow of His making, but He does not guarantee to give us strength to bear the burdens of our own making such as worry. Ian Maclaren.

Jesus spoke directly to this issue in Matthew 6:25-34, this is our subject, How to deal with worry.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and You Will be Saved

The audio of the Bible Truth Broadcast radio show for the air date of Sunday, April 15, 2012 has been posted. This is broadcast number 1512, entitled "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and You Will be Saved" by Jim Hunt. In many cases, it takes crises situations to bring some people to seriously consider their eternal destiny and come to faith in Christ, but not everyone will have that opportunity. I don't know where you might be in regard to your relationship with Jesus Christ, but the Word of God tells us that, " is the day of salvation."  We are not promised any tomorrows. In fact another verse tells us, "Boast not thyself of tomorrow, for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth."

God's Way or My Way?

The audio of the Bible Truth Broadcast radio show for the air date of Sunday, April 8, 2012 has been posted. This is broadcast number 1412, entitled "God's Way or My Way?" by Saul Cooper. It is a very serious matter when it comes to serving God. In every case those who took the responsibility of serving God in their way it brought serious consequences. To serve God effectively you must serve Him according to His rules and ways. Today's subject is, God's way or my way. Are you serving God your way or the way that He has prescribed?

The Gospel

The audio of the Bible Truth Broadcast radio show for the air date of Sunday, April 1, 2012 has been posted. This is broadcast number 1312, entitled "The Gospel" by Jim Hunt. The one true "gospel of God's grace," which God offers as our only salvation, has three basic elements: 1) who Christ is - fully God and perfect, sinless man in one person (were He less, He could not be our Savior); 2) who we are, hopeless sinners already condemned to eternal death (or we wouldn't need to be saved); and 3) what Christ's death accomplished - the payment of the full penalty for our sins (any attempt by us to pay in any way rejects the Cross).

The Parable of the Sower

The audio of the Bible Truth Broadcast radio show for the air date of Sunday, March 25, 2012 has been posted. This is broadcast number 1212, entitled "The Parable of the Sower" by Saul Cooper. Jesus was sitting by the sea and a crowd gathered around Him. So he got into a boat and sat down and began to speak to them in parables. This, His first parable, was about a man that went out to sow his seeds. As he sowed the seeds some fell on the roadside others fell on rocky ground, some fell among the thorns and some fell upon good ground. The point here was for the people to learn the spiritual lesson from the parable.

The 23rd Psalm

The audio of the Bible Truth Broadcast radio show for the air date of Sunday, March 18, 2012 has been posted. This is broadcast number 1112, entitled "The 23rd Psalm" by Jim Hunt. Despite its worldwide popularity, the 23rd Psalm is not for everyone. It is applicable only to those who can truly say, "The Lord is my Shepherd."  It is true that the Good Shepherd died for all, but only those who actually receive Him by a definite act of faith are His sheep. Everything therefore hinges on the personal pronoun "my." Unless He is "my" Shepherd, then the rest of the Psalm does not belong to me. On the other hand, if He is really mine and I am really His, then I have everything in Him.

The Truth Will Make You Free

The audio of the Bible Truth Broadcast radio show for the air date Sunday March 11, 2012 has been posted. This is broadcast number 1012, entitled "The Truth Will Make You Free" by Saul Cooper. Finding truth in our world today is a difficult task, when people will tell you what you want to hear rather than the truth. Another thing we face is that truth is relative, my truth may not be your truth or vise versa. What we will see in this study is that there is absolute truth and that truth is embodied in a person, that is the Son of God, who says that He is the Truth.

If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.
John 8:32
