message3

God's Grace is always free. It is a gift to be received, not a prize to be earned. "Salvation is not granted to men as a result of anything they are, or do, or resolve to be, but it is the undeserved gift of heaven."

Sanctification
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that
not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

message1

The new birth, the beginning of spiritual life for every believer. When divine life is imparted, the Holy Spirit enters the believer's body. This miracle is achieved through the hearing and believing of God's Word, by the working of the Holy Spirit and by our response to God of believing the truth.

Regeneration
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
John 3:6,7

message10

This means "to reckon" or "to put to one's account" by a judicial act of God. God put our sins upon Christ at the cross and He put Christ's righteousness upon us as believers.

Imputation
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:19

message9

A middle-man is needed to bring together a Holy God and sinful men. This is the "daysman" for which Job longed and which Christ proved to be.

Mediation
And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive
the promise of eternal inheritance.
Hebrews 9:15

message8

You were bought with a price. Believers were once the slaves of sin and uncleanness, the curse of the Law's terrible judgment, fear of impending death, and Satan's power. Now we have been made free in Christ because He has paid the price with His own precious blood.

Redemption
...ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1 Peter 1:18-19

message5

Through Christ's work, not that of man, God has become favorable to us and the claims of justice have been satisfied. The man who prayed the sinner's prayer cried, "God, be propitious to me."

Propitiation
...being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed.
Romans 3:24-25

message4

Baptism is a picture of salvation. It is very important, and it follows the new birth, but does not cause it.

Baptism
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19

message7

A divine act of a holy God whereby a sinner who believes in Christ is pronounced righteous before Him and acquited of all charges. Justification is by grace, by faith and by His blood, without works and apart from the law. Justification by works is a demonstration of the reality of faith already possessed, an outward display of faith by action, following salvation.

Justification
...knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.
Galatians 2:16

Deception

The audio of the Bible Truth Broadcast radio show for the air date of Sunday December 16, 2012 has been posted. This is broadcast number 4812 entitled, "Deception" by Saul Cooper. F. E. Smith was a capable lawyer with a quick wit who served as the British attorney general from 1915 until 1919. On one occasion he cross-examined a young man claiming damages for an arm injury caused by the negligence of a bus driver. "Will you please show us how high you can lift your arm now?" asked Smith. The young man gingerly raised his arm to shoulder level, his face distorted with pain. "Thank you," said Smith. "And now, could you show us how high you could lift it before the accident?" The young man eagerly shot his arm up above his head. Deception, in this situation it works both ways. In our study Paul wrote to the Galatians about being deceived that carried another gospel.

Encouragement

The audio of the Bible Truth Broadcast radio show for the air date of Sunday December 2, 2012 has been posted. This is broadcast number 4612 entitled, "Encouragement" by Saul Cooper. Has there ever been a time in your life when you needed encouragement? Has a person ever come to you and said exactly the words you needed to give you a boost? There are people that seem to know just what to say and not say to help you get started again. What about you? Before we get started in this study this morning, I would like to take a little survey. How many of you would consider yourself an encourager - someone who has the right words to help a person who is discouraged? You know often times when we attempt to help the discouraged we cause more discouragement. I hope that this study today will give some insight as to how to go about being an encourager.

Hopeless Cases

The audio of the Bible Truth Broadcast radio show for the air date of Sunday November 18, 2012 has been posted. This is broadcast number 4412 entitled "Hopeless Cases" by Saul Cooper. The Bible contains many conversions of what we might call "Hopeless" cases. Mary Magdalene, in Luke 8:2, was cured from seven devils and became a devoted follower of Jesus. The demoniac of Luke 8:27 was set free and wanted to follow Jesus but was sent home. Then one very famous hopeless case, the woman of Samaria, whom Jesus met at the well in John 4. Our topic today is about a man that would be considered another "Hopeless Case," Zaccheus.

Working Effectively for God

The audio of the Bible Truth Broadcast radio show for the air date of Sunday October 21, 2012 has been posted. This is broadcast number 4212, entitled "Working Effectively for God" by Saul Cooper. When we were first saved, not many of us were told that we were signing up for work. Generally we were told that Salvation is a free gift of God, that's true. It is also true that we were created for good works Eph. 2:10. The Bible has many illustrations to teach us about works and examples of good works. The Lord Himself gives instructions in our message this morning about our works. So I would like for us to explore some of the essentials for working effectively. We can do a lot of things that we call works, but are they effective and are they works that will endure?

Peter the Servant

The audio of the Bible Truth Broadcast radio show for the air date of Sunday October 7, 2012 has been posted. This is broadcast number 4012, entitled "Peter the Servant" by Saul Cooper. In my last study, I show the failures of Peter as he attempted to build an earthly tabernacle for Jesus, Moses and Elijah, at the time of the transfiguration of The Lord Jesus. It would be unfair to leave this matter in this manner. Peter had to learn from his experiences, today I want to show how much he learned from what he himself said and did.

Knowing God

The audio of the Bible Truth Broadcast radio show for the air date of Sunday, September 30, 2012 has been posted. This is broadcast number 3912 entitled "Knowing God" by Jim Hunt. It's hard to keep on not believing in God. C.S. Lewis has a list of books atheists shouldn't read. Atheists can never be too careful. Everywhere we look; our conscience, history, the transforming work of God in the life of derelicts, the Word of God, we see His signature.

The Apostle Peter's Failure

The audio of the Bible Truth Broadcast radio show for the air date of Sunday September 23, 2012 has been posted. This is broadcast number 3812 entitled, "The Apostle Peter’s Failure" by Saul Cooper. If it is human to say a dumb thing at a crucial time, and it is, then Peter was indeed human. Here is Peter on a mountain top in the presence of the divine and eternal, and he says, "Let’s us make three huts." Our text is Matthew 17:1-13.
