Jesus called himself the bread of life and so He was. Today we take bread for granted because we have such an abundance, so it has become insufficient in some countries like ours. How ever there are many places where Bread is no in such great supply, makes it as significant as it was in the times of Christ. It was not just bread but the source of life and that is why Christ said I am the bread of life. In Christ there is life, the bread that He give is Himself which gives life eternal.
