WHERE DO OUR CHURCH DONATIONS GO?
We have a heavy emphasis on missions. Grace Chapel does not have any paid staff, therefore the majority of our donations are sent to foreign and domestic missions. We have more recently been trying to increase support to local missions in El Paso and Juarez, including practical support and working along side the missionaries. “For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” Hebrews 6:10
Grace Chapel Financially Supports the Following Missionaries and Organizations:
Avant – Tere Rodriguez and Dick and Carol Grover: Avant focusses on providing food to needy migrants in the Houston area, while sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Tere has a heart to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to see new converts discipled in His ways.
Christian Missions in Many Lands (CMML) – Seth Cocking, James & Carla Cocking, Thomas & Sandra Peasland, and Dave & Bequi Wielenga: CMML was established in 1921 as a nonprofit, faith-based service organization to serve missionaries from the United States serving in cross-cultural missions overseas. Grace Chapel has long supported missionaries through CMML, which is how we send our support to our missionary associates in Torreon, Mexico and other parts of Latin America. Please visit https://www.cmml.us/ for more information.
Engage Apologetics, Caleb and Kendra Herrelson: Engage Apologetics is a ministry that seeks to equip the next generation in El Paso, TX for apologetics, evangelism, and Godliness. Through a variety of weekly training times, ministry activities, special events, retreats, and conferences, we engage the mind, engage the heart, and engage our neighbors in a way that makes the Gospel of Jesus known. Integrity Missions – John & Jan Becker: This is a multi-faceted ministry along the Front Range of Colorado, including: Spanish-speakers; public schools; college athletic coaches; military; and individuals. During the last year with the COVID regulations, they focused primarily on ministry to Spanish-speakers and individuals. Currently John is helping with the ministry of the Word at two Spanish-speaking missions in Colorado Springs, and Jan helps with the children’s ministry at one of those missions. Jan also does the planning, communications, and receipting, as well as being involved with a ministry to Spanish-speaking women. They are also involved with outreach to employees in Monument, CO, widows/widowers, and some folks on temporary military assignment. They are trusting the Lord for some of the other areas of ministry to re-open as schools and colleges return to their regular schedules.
KELP Christian Radio – El Paso & Las Cruces: Teachers from Grace Chapel are featured on the radio program every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. Grace Chapel’s Bible Truth Program is one of the longest running radio programs on KELP. Several members of Grace Chapel have come to Christ through this ministry, and we know that countless others have been touched over the years in our region. KELP, El Paso’s first, and most influential Christian radio station, has been serving the Christian communities in Western Texas, Southern New Mexico, and Northern Mexico with the finest in inspirational and educational programming in both English and Spanish since 1982.
